your realllly lucky. you have a good teacher. i started almost 2 years ago and i still dont know all my chords. and i never learned proper hand postioning, let alone all the parts of a guitar. my guitar teacher has taught me basicly just songs, but i quit it with him, and im now finding a new one.
hm. that doesnt sound like a very good instructor.
i took guitar lessons for probably 3 years and after that i just then got to the point where i can do whatever and learn cool songs.
i learned chords, scales, small songs from the book, finger picking, how to make cool affects with the guitar, about capos, fingering positions, etc.
