I’m just curious, what do you do during them?
For example, in my first guitar lessons, I learned chords, tablature, hand position, parts of the guitar, and the my teacher gave me two songs to learn. Ever since then, I choose songs I want to learn and he teaches them to me. Also, he will sometimes pick out songs for me to learn to teach me different techniques.

your realllly lucky. you have a good teacher. i started almost 2 years ago and i still dont know all my chords. and i never learned proper hand postioning, let alone all the parts of a guitar. my guitar teacher has taught me basicly just songs, but i quit it with him, and im now finding a new one.

hm. that doesnt sound like a very good instructor.
i took guitar lessons for probably 3 years and after that i just then got to the point where i can do whatever and learn cool songs.
i learned chords, scales, small songs from the book, finger picking, how to make cool affects with the guitar, about capos, fingering positions, etc.
