should i get?
i have a knock off fender strat. ( its a baltimore?, i picked it up at a flea market…)
this will be my second guitar and im looking for a les paul.
i want something good for grunge, alternative, metal, rock, and screamo.
ill have about 150 to spend.
ive been looking around and the epiphone les paul special is the best i can find.
i also need an amp preferably 15 watt or so for now.
im trying to start a band with some friends.
an example of what we play is papa roach's last resort.
help?

Just pick up a Roland VG-8 off eBay and sound like any guitar or amp combination.

You willneed to change out the p/ups in the Epiphone.Get some Seymour Duncans or DeMarzios.And for an amp,well,the Roland VG-8,is not for someone on a budget!And,we are dealing with MIDI too!Try one of the hybrid amps like the Fender Super Camp or the Vox VavleTronics amps.The are tube,but with digital effects,the best of both worlds!And they sound pretty awesome too…check en out…Hope this Helped
